- Custom Moulding
- Anti-vibration foam
What material do we use here? Flexible foam.
Like noise reduction, the flexible foam is ideal for anti vibration.
The most common uses for this foam is in the automotive and electronics sectors. Flexible foams are open cell and can be moulded from densities between 60-500kg/m3 providing you with a wide range of foam options for your project.
Why is flexible foam the best material for anti-vibration?
The cellular structure of flexible foam can be varying densities according to the application required. We can tailor your foam properties to suit different frequencies of noise as well as vibration.
Lighter softer foam will filter out white noise e.g. wind vibration whereas firm dense foam will be more effective at filtering out vibration as well as noise.
- Electronic housing e.g. microphones, portable telecoms equipment, speaker systems
- NVH components in cars e.g door sills, engine covers, seat belt housing
Working for a World Leading Communications Provider.
Anti vibration and noise reduction goes hand in hand when it comes to audio equipment and this experienced manufacturer of walkie talkie’s needed a very precise density for this audio housing foam component.
The size of this foam component is 45x45x12mm, the challenge for us on such a small item was to keep consistency throughout ALL our mouldings.
We have set up a specific testing rig to ensure that density and weight and profiles are exactly the same for each one. To date, we have manufactured over 100,000 pieces.
